I'm trying to open/forward UDP port 9987 to a TeamSpeak server from our Sonicwall TZ180. The TCP ports open fine but cannot connect via UDP.

You have to open port (with NAT Rules) and to allow port (with Firewall Rules).

Could you post a screenshot of your 2 rules (NAT & Firewall) ?

Ensure that your firewall rule is any for the source and the destination is the point (interface) where the traffic first enters the firewall.

IE:
Source: Any
Destination: WAN Interface IP
Service: UDP_9987

Then the NAT takes over and translates the outside address to the inside address.

Use the public server wizard.  It would probably be the easiest way to set this up.  you may have to make a service for udp 9987.

You will also want to set a static IP on your computer.  If your IP changes in 5 days, then your rule will need to be updated.

Got it figured out. Thanks. I used the wizard before. Waited a few hours and then it started allowing traffic through. Not sure why it took so long. Thanks for everyone's responses.
