I have multiple gmail addresses, and have them consolidated into one account.
When I try to send emails from different addresses, I get "sent from 1@gmail.com on behalf of 2@gmail.com". How can I get rid of this? It kind of defeats the purpose of having multiple addresses.
Thanks.

In your main gmail account, you will have to set up POP importing from the other accounts. That is the only way to get rid of that message.

Here are Gmail's POP settings https://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287

Use them with Gmail's POP importing to import from one gmail account to another.http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2008/03/tips-for-importing-old-email-to-gmail.html

I enabled POP in one account, but how do I tell my other account to pull in the messages with POP? They're already being forwarded from the first account.

I get a message that "smtp.gmail.com does not support leaving messages on the server".
However, I need to do so because these messages are also pulled into outlook.

Yes, that would create a problem if you have multiple clients pulling from the same POP server. That is the only way I know of to solve your problem.

Looks like this will help me soon, though. I'm in the process of consolidating and organizing email accounts; what I plan on setting up is having all my gmail addresses POP into one account, and then have that account IMAP with Outlook.
So I will save this answer on file.
