Hi all, i have bought a DL380 G4 as a test server but it only came with 2GB ram. I have quite a few bits of ram lying around that are that speed but i get an error verifying them on boot up. Is there anyway that i can get the RAM to be recognised, or must they be ECC.

thanks

Yes, it uses ECC memory, see here. Here are some modules.

Thanks Gerwinjansen, i dont suppose there is a way of disavling the ECC check as it for a home test server.

If possible, this would have to be in BIOS. But since this a server where you want the ECC feature I doubt this is possible. Have a look in the manual I would say and check, OK?
