Whenever I open IE9 or add a new tab I get an annoying male voice tutorial message about clearing cache and cookies! Runs  maybe 30 secs.

It started immediately after I updated Java yesterday.

I've read that it may be related to Google Toolbar... just uninstall.

No thanks!

There must be a better solution. I've run Google TB for years with no problems!

Narrator is turned off... and I've run Norton Power Eraser and MS Emergency Response!

Both show clean system. Also use MS Essentials!

Next step would be to uninstall the toolbar to see if it goes away. If it does, join the majority and don't put it back. And no, I have not had the problem.

something is amiss in your new tab page you may want to change the default of "the new tab page" to 'a blank page'

Thanks... I'll give it a try but the Vice Tutorial doesn't begin with every new tab, just some.

Found a solution myself...  simply deleted extra copy of Java and Java Helper.
