We use a VoIP solution (Live Meeting) for our virtual training. I use Camtasia Studio to record the onscreen action. My problem is that I can't seem to get it to record both my microphone and the rest of the speakers. Keeps working out as either but not both. Ideas?

I read that entire thread and it does not help me. I am already using the patch cable. However, I cannot get it to record both my mic and the speakers. In that thread they are mainly focused on Vista. I am running Windows XP. (Sorry I didn't mention it.) They mention accessing a Recording tab in Sound. I do not have this option.

Hi SPARAB:

Those instructions are helpful if you are using Inter Call's solution. We are not. We host it ourselves. When we record a Live Meeting it saves to our local PC. It unfortunately saves as multiple files which then has to be converted and the Microsoft solution for converting them stinks. However, your post got me thinking and I have just solved my own problem.

Thanks for the effort. Going to close this since I do not think anyone else is going to comment.

Regards,

Susan

No one else's advice solved the problem.

Only gave my answer a C because it is incomplete. I am not posting the solution I came up with on my own since obviously no one seems to care.
