Hi,
noticed recently that within a remote desktop session when a user is logged in, under the c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temp directory there are a bunch of folders called wer3e95.ddir00 with different letters so could be wera975.dir00 and they total about 4gig so wanted to know if they were necessary since they take up a lot of space on c drive.  Any ideas?  thanks

Anything in that temp directory can and should be deleted from time to time.  That is just a location that the OS and programs use to create temperary files while the applications are in use, problem is they don't get deleted when not in use.  Safe to delete, the apps will recreate if needed.
