Hi guys, I have a new challenge

1) some of you maybe familiar with a membership plugin called

wishlist plugin. This is a plugin that helps to create a

membership site. I install this plugin however there is
a conflit between the wishlist plugin and my theme.

2) The problem I'm having with my theme is that when I go the settings for my wishlist
plugin to hide certain pages from showing up for non paid members
the page still show up for both paid and non paid members.

3) The support video for the "wishlist plugin" specifically
mentioned that if a theme is heavily customized the wishlist
plugin might not work with it and my theme happens to be
heavily customized and deviate a little bit from the
standard of the "twenty ten" theme. Because wishlist plugin is modeled after
the "tweny ten" wordpress default theme

4) Of course when I use the tweny ten theme I have no problem with the "wishlist plugin"

so, my question how do I modified my theme to put put it on the same standard as the
"twenty ten" theme. what specifically I need to modify on my theme to mimic
the standard of the "twenty ten". My theme was created with a theme creator software called:"artisteer"

the wishlist plugin I'm using I got it from this site: member.wishlistproducts.com

here is a link to download both the tweny ten theme and my theme wish I call"internetmarketingonlinecoure1" and help me compare please: internetmarketingonlinecourse.com/th

You need to go to the coding that generates the list of members and determine which variable is being used to make the lists in accordance with the settings. Odds are you have the same variable defined within your theme.

Do you know PHP?  Do you have access to a code editor with extensive search functions like Dreamweaver?

I want to change the theme with respect to the plugin rather. I provide a link to compare both themes

Are you the developer of this site?

no, I just create the theme from a ready made template using my artisteer template. I mean that's my site I have access to everything in it.

Wow, well it is going to be difficult for me to help you since I do not have access to the php files that control your theme and plugin, and from what I am gathering, you are not that familiar with WordPress, PHP and code editors which are the tools we need to debug your situation.

the following link has both themes; the one that works and the one that does not: internetmarketingonlinecourse.com/th

Holy cats, pidaw!  Never give access information to your site on a public blog!

You need to change the password ASAP unless you want to invite someone to see what havoc they can play with you.

This won't help me much anyway.  I would need to do comprehensive searches and in order to do that I would need FTP information to your site.

Do you have FTP information (DO NOT provide this on this blog.  We will work out a way you can get the info to me.)

Got it.  Thank you.  Can you provide me the url of the page you are having problems with?

yes, every page I create with the wishlist plugin even when I meant it to be hidden using the settings  of the wishlist plugin still show up on the homepage of my site which is simply www.internetmarketingonlinecourse.com. Right now the page that says "wishlist Member" is supposed to be hidden as per my settings with the wishlist plugin. when you use the "twenty ten" default theme for the wordpress that page meaning  "wishlist Member" does not show up when you change the theme back to my theme the  "wishlist Member" page shows up.

Hmm.  Ok, can you email me the new access for wp-admin?  I will need to be able to switch between the two themes to see exactly what you are talking about.

I did change it you can use the same one

OK pidaw, I did find the problem.  The page that says "Wishlist Member" does not show up in the default twenty ten theme because there is no function artGTranslateFix() present in that theme.  This is the function that displays the menu in the internetmarketingonlinecourse theme.  The theme twenty ten would not show the menu item "Wishlist Member" even if you wanted it to.

Please describe in detail how you want your site to work.  If someone is not logged in, are you saying you do not want the menu item "Wishlist Member" to show up?  That would be an easy fix by changing the settings in the artGTranslateFix() function.

yes only members that are logged in should see that page.
by the way did you change the password on the site
link

pidaw

Yes, I sent you an email informing you of that and the new password.  I also informed you that if you did not like the change, you could change it back, however I would strongly recommend against it.

I went ahead and made some changes, please see if the effect is what you wanted.

Ok thank you so much I will quickly take a look at the changes

FYI, I only made a small change in the art_get_list_pages() function of the core/navigation.php file to include a check for user login and an elimination of the last menu item should the user not be logged in.  This can easily be changed or modified to suit your needs.
