Hi Experts.

I have a user on our Exchange 2010 server who have problems sending mails in outlook 2010.
She can send to allmost all users. But sometimes it cant send through Outlook 2010 i the user receives a error "see attached file" its like the exchange server i trying to send to a mailaddress that doesnt exist. It change the entered address to end up with "hosted.local" instead of the correct address which the user entered at the beginning.

In the webmail it works for the user to send mail to theese mailadresses.
I have tried to delete the cache for the autocomplete list.
Any help is appreciated

or you can search for and delete the NK2 file in their profile which gets rid of this cache without having to delete their whole profile

is this error going externally? i read as an internal problem

If going externally then an error message and code would help

    Is this error message enough??
Would not disclose customer data with mail and so on.
As you can see it tries to mail to a strange email address.
Not the one that the person tried to mail to at the start.

      yes that should be enough

check address lists and contacts on both the exchange server and the users profile
Does it work from OWA - then you can see if its client or server side

sorry thought you have said it did but couldn't see it.

are you letting the address autocomplete or are you typing manually

i.e. is it picking something up from the contacts list

also are there any transport rules on the server that might be affecting it

It seems that the problem have been solved after disabling the mailbox on the Exchange server instead of delete it.

So the conclusion on this was a defective mailbox, and it doesnt help to delete the defective mailbox. It should be disabled first, and then create a new one, Then it works!. And the disabled mailbox is automaticaly deleted completely from the server after xx days.
