I have two computers in the same workgroup one is running WIndows 7 Pro the other Windows 7 Home Premium. I shared a printer off the WIndows 7 Pro PC and can connect to it from the Win7 Home Premium, but when I send a print job it never printers and never shows any errors. All firewalls are off, User acounts are in pplace, permission are set properly. Is this just an incompatibility between WIn 7 Pro and Win 7 Home Premium?

The firewall should not affect printing on a workgroup if file and printer sharing is enabled, which it should be as you have made a connection to the printer. Are the two version of Windows 7 both x86 or x64 bit? If one is 64 and the other 32 bit then the corresponding drivers needs to be added to the W7 Pro machine. If you connect the printer directly to the Home Premium machine, does it print with the same driver?

If they are both x86 or x64 then there should be no reason that it cannot print. Windows 7 is very good at creating and managing printer connections.

As it turns out It was a 64 vs 32 bit OS issue. I added the appropriate drivers and it owrks now. Thanks
